The resulting gap between onset and specialty care results in significant medical and nutritional co-morbidity and risk. ARFID also substantially impacts quality of life. Rigid eating patterns can negatively influence social and cultural development and experience. Patients and their families have frequently been working for significant periods of time to identify a diagnosis and obtain care. They often report that their concerns have not been validated or addressed. This workshop will provide current conceptualization for ARFID identification, along with the most current recommendations for treatment intervention across the continuum of care. Specific guidance to contrast the needs of ARFID patients within the eating disorders milieu will be addressed. Nominal group technique will be employed to help participants apply learned content to their practice setting. Register Now! Price goes up to $40 at the door! |
